The team

The Private Real Estate team provides high quality advice and service to private clients, trusts and family offices in connection with their real estate affairs. It works closely where appropriate with other specialists in the Firm, including in particular Private Client, Family and Commercial Real Estate lawyers to achieve that aim. 

The London Private Real Estate team includes prominent Legal 500, Chambers HNW and Spears ranked partners advising across the residential, leasehold enfranchisement and rural property spheres.

Recruitment for this role is with a view to long term progression of a busy and established team and presents a real opportunity for career progression.

The opportunity

The focus of this role will be to assist with a varied caseload of residential property matters acting for HNW individuals, their companies, family offices and trusts. The role will be based in the London office and will cover all manner of residential property matters with particular focus on:

• High value freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals

• Remortgages

Who we are looking for
  • 3PQE+ residential property solicitor with solid residential property sale and acquisition experience including familiarity with new build and off plan transactions
  • A strong grounding in leasehold enfranchisement and landlord and tenant
  • Demonstrable technical expertise, proficiency in drafting and research skills
  • Comfortable in running transactions effectively with experience of acting for domestic and international high net worth clients
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Team player with proven ability to work collaboratively with professionals of other disciplines (tax advisors, accountants, agents etc)
  • Enthusiasm for working in a client-facing position and comfortable adapting to a client’s needs
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality legal services
  • Desire and ability to develop business
  • Organised and self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude and flexible approach
  • Some experience of supervising junior staff desirable
